  12. Hi all,

  14.     I compiled xdvi from xdvi-1.5.tar.gz from ftp.cs.umb.edu.
  15. It is giving me messages like

  17. xdvi: epsf: Cannot open cover.eps.
  18.  
  19. when I am trying to include an EPSF file cover.eps. However
  20. of course the epsf file is there. dvips produces a ps file
  21. which ghostscript can read and give a picture on the screen.

  23. If I add the absolute path of cover.eps in \epsffile{},
  24. xdvi can display the picture on the screen as well (via
  25. ghostscript of course).
  26.  
  27. Question: the absolute path is necessary now?

  29. Thanks in advance for any pointers. This xdvi automatically
  30. invoking gs feature is neat, and now there is no need to
  31. go through the ghostscript indirectly.
